I am very pleased to know that Rupa is playing a significant role in popularizing our Bengali culture especially Rabindra Sangeet in the greater Houston area through her Surangan Music School. Most of her students are born and brought up in a cultural environment that is miles away from the culture-Rupa is trying to propagate. It is an extremely difficult task. But the sapling Rupa planted seven years back is growing and new leaves are added each year. It shows that Rupa has successfully overcome many hurdles through her dedication and hard work and on a right track for achieving her goal of spreading Rabindra Sangeet all over United States.   

My heartiest support and best wishes will remain for all the activities of the Surangan in its endeavor to provide various avenues to strengthen and keep our Bengali culture alive.

Finally, I wish to extend best wishes to all students of Surangan.
