Suparna Ghosh, affectionately known as Rupa, is a renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer whose soulful voice and heartfelt expression have captivated audiences across North America. Trained from the age of five under legendary maestros in Bangladesh and India, Rupa combines deep classical grounding with the emotional essence of Tagore’s music. A recipient of multiple national awards and a former regular artist on Bangladesh Radio and Television, she is also the founder of Surangan Music School in Houston, where she has trained over 100 students in Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and classical music. Through her performances and teaching, Rupa continues to preserve and promote the rich musical heritage of Bengal for future generations.
